Alexander the Great

Alexander the Great was the King of Macedonia he took over many city-states and had a massive empire that consisted of Egypt, Asia Minor, Macedonia, and at his death he had successfully conquered all of these also he also had conquered all of the Persian Empire. He took over these city-states with the army he had made from the other country's he conquered. The city-states he took over he made them follow some of the Greek laws, religions and was but still let them keep some of their own laws and ways. He was a great ruler said many historians hey was one of the youngest person to have a kingdom of that size and had the biggest empire of his time. He named almost all of his city-states that he conquered after himself they were usually called Alexandria.

He was a very strong solider and was wise and brave as a kid he watched his dad conquer all these country's/city-states. He admired his father and wanted to be like him and that is why they think they called him Alexander the Great. Also it is said by some historians that Alexander's father wanted to buy a horse but none would go near it because it was rearing up and they were afraid of getting hit so his father deiced not to buy it and Alexander said "What a shame a the beautiful horse going to waste because no one will try tame it so he went into the pen and stroked the horse and calmed it and then he rode it around after his father said "Alexander Macedonia is to small for you to rule you will conquer more country's.
