The Minoan's lived in Crete a small island it the Mediterranean Sea. Between Mainland Greece and Asia Minor which is now known as Turkey. Minoan's were Maritime culture they traded with many countries such as Asia Minor, Egypt, and Spain. They were a very agricultural culture and did lots of farming, fishing, and local arts. It's very strange because Minoan men and women had equal rights/status. They loved recreational activities like dancing and singing, spots like boxing, and bull-leaping. They were a very peace-loving culture. because of lack of fortresses and war equipment.

The Mycenaean is a city-state in the north-east of the Peloponnesia located on the Greek mainland. Most of Greek mythology about heroes and famous battles are from the Mycenaean. Like the Minoan's they were also an agricultural culture the harvested grains, olives, and grapes. Like the Minoans they were also a Maritime culture but they only traveled to Egypt and Asia Minor. Unlike the Minoans they focused most of there energy on creating a stronger Military (Navy). Horses were very important to the Mycenaeans for them to pull the chariots into war. Unlike The Minoans were they were equal status Mycenaeans was a hierarchical society with Kings and Military officials in the highest ranking and prisoners of war at the bottom enslaved to serve them. Also unlike Minoans they were not so much into religious or musical festivals.
